Ask the Experts Honolulu 2017

The American Liver Foundation’s mission is to facilitate, advocate and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease. ALF’s Pacific Coast Division is responsible for fulfilling our mission throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties in California, and the state of Hawaii.

We are pleased to be working in partnership with Hep Free Hawaii, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, University of Florida College of Pharmacy, Practice Point Communications and community stakeholders to host our inaugural Ask the Experts: Liver Wellness Conference in Honolulu Hawaii on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at John A Burns School of Medicine.

The conference will provide information on the latest treatments and research breakthroughs from some of Hawaii’s leading liver specialists. Topics that will be covered include: Hepatitis A, B and C; HIV/HCV Co-infection, Alcoholic Hepatitis; Nonalcoholic Liver Disease (NAFLD), Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) and Liver Cancer.

Morning Session – Intended Audience: OPEN TO EVERYONE: RNs, PAs, LVNs, LPNs, NPs, PHNs, PharmDs, MDs Clinical & Outreach Staff, Counselors, Case Managers, Program Managers, Patients, Caregivers & Interested Parties.

(3) Continuing Education Credits (CEs) for Nurses Provided.

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Western Multi-State Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Afternoon Session – Intended Audience: ONLY OPEN TO: Providers who are actively treating, or interested in treating, HIV and Hepatitis patients. MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, RNs/nurses and PharmD/RPh.
