Ask the Experts Portland 2019

The heart of the American Liver Foundation’s mission is to educate the community about the dangers of liver diseases, to advocate for healthy eating habits, and to connect patients and their families to qualified doctors, specialists and pharmacists. To achieve these goals, we are holding a conference with a panel of pre-eminent specialists in the field of liver disease. The specialists will disseminate information about liver disease, prevention and the newest treatments.

Educational Objectives

  • Evaluate current and new treatment options of HCV and HBV.
  • Discuss the future impact of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and NASH, or Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis, in adults and in adolescence, diagnosis and treatment alternatives.
  • Identify risk factors, diagnosis, management and prognosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
  • Discuss the success and complications of live donor liver transplantation and updates on liver transplantation.
