Moderator: Elena Ignatiev DNP, APRN, AGPCNP-BC University of Chicago Medicine

Elena Ignatiev has been a nurse for 20 years and has had the pleasure of working in a community setting as well as a tertiary care university setting.  She has experience in many areas of nursing including med-surg, ICU, PACU, Administration, gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as her current focus in the outpatient setting.  She completed her DNP degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Elena has been at the University of Chicago for 12 years and recently began a new position as an NP for the Section of Hematology and Oncology, GI solid tumor, where she is expanding her focus to oncology care of patients with liver and GI malignancies.  When time allows, she loves to travel, particularly internationally, cook, and spend time with her family.

Elena is a member of the ALF GLD Associate Medical Advisory Committee.


Presenter: Allison Moser, MSN, FNP-BC, Northwestern Memorial Hospital

Allison is a nurse practitioner in the Hepatology Division at Northwestern Memorial         Hospital. She has a background in gastroenterology and received her Master of   Science in Nursing Degree from Loyola University Chicago with a specialty in family practice.

Allison is a member of the American Liver Foundation Great Lakes Division’s

Associate Medical Advisory Committee and Board of Directors.


Present: David Choi, PharmD, UI Health

David Choi is originally from Denver, Colorado. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the Colorado School of Mines and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He completed his pharmacy residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. 

 He is currently a clinical assistant professor at University of Illinois at Chicago     College of Pharmacy and practices in the area of inflammatory bowel disease,    kidney transplant, and liver transplant. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and drawing.   David is a member of the ALF GLD Associate Medical Advisory            Committee.


Presenter: Dana Pierce, PharmD, University of Illinois

Dana Pierce joined the ALF GLD Associate Medical Advisory Committee in February 2020.  She received  her PharmD from the University of Illinois and is currently a PGY1 pharmacy resident at UIC.  Dana will be completing her PGY2 in solid organ transplantation at UIC.
